In today’s message, I wanted to share with you a portion from my upcoming book, Supernatural Wealth: It’s Time To Receive Your Harvest. I’m SOOO excited to be able to share the full book with you soon, but for now I’d like to pull from a chapter that focuses on today’s message of encouragement: spiritual deliverance. Since the book is mainly about wealth, many of the teachings are specifically targeted to hit on financial areas. However, to stay relevant with today’s message, feel free to replace the word “wealth” with any related challenge you may be currently facing whether it’s concerning your health, marriage, destiny, etc.
Deliverance – The action of being rescued or set free; salvation.
[The following excerpt goes as follows]:
“There are intense battles being fought in the spirit realm each and every day. Many of which we can see in our natural eyes. If you are going to break free in your finances, then you must be aware that the enemy launches some of the most ruthless attacks in this area. Wealth in the hands of a person yielded to a Holy God is a threat to the kingdom of darkness.”
Keep in mind that even if you are well in your body, that is a threat to the kingdom of darkness! When you have soaring marriages of two individuals coming together, even that is a threat to the kingdom of darkness.
But our hope is in Christ!
“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” – 2 corinthians 10:3,4 [NIV]
Weapons to FIGHT BACK!
One thing that I have discovered is that we as believers have power through Jesus Christ, and there are tools and weapons that God gives us to be able to spiritually fight with. Many forces in the kingdom of darkness have risen to bombard and attempt to disarm a vast number of believers with the blows of warfare and demonic traps. Many have even become swayed, distracted, and entrapped inside the webs of the enemy because of the lack of knowledge pertaining to the supernatural world. After all, the supernatural world is where we FIGHT! We
must always remember that we fight in the supernatural and NOT in the natural realm. As the return of Jesus draws near, it is important that believers remain on post as well as spiritually aware and alert –equipped and able to battle. The Lord has given us many tools and giftings to wage war… AND WIN! Today, I’m going to provide you with a list of the different spiritual weapons and tools used for deliverance:
SPIRITUAL WEAPONS/TOOLS USED FOR DELIVERANCE:
1. The Armor of God
2. Prayer
3. Fasting
4. Praying in the Spirit
5. Angels
6. Praise & Worship
7. Your Testimony
8. The Presence of the Lord
6 PIECES OF THE ARMOR OF GOD (Ephesians 6:10-18):
1. Belt of truth
2. Breastplate of righteousness
3. Shoes – readiness of the Gospel of peace
4. Shield of faith
5. Helmet of salvation
6. Sword of the Spirit
NEVER forget to put on the armor by faith every single day! If only your eyes were open in the spirit realm, you would literally be able to see it. When we have on the whole armor of God in the spirit, then the angels are able to fight with what we are armed with on our behalf.
The Word tells us that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard. But there are things that we can do and tools and weapons that we can use on our end to also fight spiritual battles. Let’s be clear about this one fact: you CANNOT fight battles in the flesh! If and when we try to do so, we will always lose. You will not be able to effectively fight spiritual battles in the flesh by thinking that you somehow have an advantage. This topic of spiritual deliverance, battling wickedness, and overcoming warfare is close to the Father’s heart. He desires to arm his sons and daughters with knowledge so that we may take it with us and win these battles in the Earth. You will need to stand in the evil times ahead with your full armor on!
I personally know firsthand that I wouldn’t be the woman of God that I am today had it not been for the weapon of prayer. There have been times when some things have shifted and reverted on my behalf. Even as Jesus walked this earth, he spent much time in prayer with the Lord. Prayer is what helped him carry out the will of God on this Earth and to walk in a sinless nature.
Prayer helps us in more ways than we may realize. It cancels out things in the spirit realm and puts evil forces under your feet. Prayer pulls down things in the realm of the spirit. The Bible even mentions Jesus and how he taught his disciples how to pray:
“This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’” – Matthew 6:9-13 [NIV]
When he taught his disciples this specific model of prayer, he certainly didn’t do it “just because”; he knew that it was absolutely necessary! The Lord’s Prayer is a powerful force even as it pertains to deliverance. There is some oil and anointing on this prayer! Prayer purifies and delivers us from sin. When you look at Jesus and the things that he did, notice that when there was a major decision to be made he went to prayer. It is a crucial part of the life of believers and expresses exactly what we should do in the Earth.
“One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles…” – Luke 6: 12-13
“One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” – Luke 11: 1
“When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened.” Luke 3: 21
Before teaching his disciples, Jesus prayed!
Before his baptism, Jesus prayed!
Before his ascension he prayed!
Before his transfiguration, he prayed!
Self-Deliverance
We are in a time right now where prayer is so very crucial to personal deliverance. When you are self-aware, you become a force to be reckoned with. There will be times when your pastor, apostle, or favorite prophet simply won’t be able to get to you and deliver you in the capacity that you are seeking. You must understand the personal power that you already possess inside so that deliverance may happen. So that the chains will break! So that the things that have been attacking your mind, finances, and your body will be released and broken! There are things that you have to do as a believer and there is some understanding that you simply must have. There are also spiritual tools that you must receive so that you will be effective in this battle. There will
be times when you won’t be able to pick up the phone and request for others to stand in the gap and be on post for you. While the power of agreement is still strong, there are times when you simply won’t have anyone else. This is not to sound discouraging or pessimistic, but you simply must understand and know how to tarry in the spirit by yourself and for yourself until you get a breakthrough! God is raising up warriors in this hour who will understand the power of self-deliverance. When you understand the art of war, engaging your spiritual tools, and releasing scriptures, you will be able to release deliverance, answers, breakthroughs, and keys! You must be able to tap into the glory of the Lord and allow His presence to be around you; it is His presence alone that brings deliverance!
Be encouraged that you already have tools in YOUR possession!
Activate The Kingdom
I remember sharing the story of my sick family member who the Lord instructed me to bring to our home. This person had been so ill and was in need of prayer and intercession. As I obeyed the Lord, I saw a vision of the angels standing in my prayer room. It was as though the hands of the angels were tied and they were unable to act. The Father urged me to speak the Word over the life of my family member. By doing this, the Lord allowed me to give the angels permission to work on this family member and bring forth healing. The Holy portals had already been opened up due to prayer, fasting, putting on the armor of Gor, and through praise and worship —this was the very same room in which we even witnessed Jesus Christ himself come in and reveal his glory! The day that the Lord told me to speak on this person’s behalf for healing, I learned something so valuable.
We know that the Kingdom of Heaven is voice activated. In the beginning, God said “let there be light” and so there was. Since we were created in the image of God, our words have power and carry much weight. This is why the enemy often tries his very best to close and muffle the mouths of believers. He doesn’t want you to release the Word into the atmosphere. Your words can cut some things; they can break and destroy things in the spirit realm!
As we serve a sovereign God who does what He wishes, there are times when we must decree and declare a thing so that it can be established in the Earth. There will be times when you must DO something on your end! The Lord showed me that had I not spoken, the angels would not have been able to act. Though this is not the case all of the time, the Lord showed me a valuable lesson that when we don’t speak, the angels are unable to move. They are unable to work, pull out their swords, and release the fire simply because we are not speaking. The Kingdom of Heaven recognizes your voice! Your deliverance and healing is voice activated! You have power on the inside of you and God has given you the tools to combat the powers of the enemy and forces of darkness. USE THEM and watch all of Heaven MOVE MIGHTILY on your behalf!
A Constant Surrender
Many of us believers are weighted down and it is affecting our ability to worship, pray, fast, and show up effectively for the Kingdom. The Lord is able to refresh you in this season and break the chains off of you! May there be an angelic sweeping over your life that brings forth DEEP deliverance. He is cleansing His children; allow Him to do a work in you. Will you surrender and simply say “yes”?
Here’s a well-known fact when it comes to your walk with Christ: it is not just a “one-time surrender”. It is a constant surrender and a constant yielding to the Lord. We often go through and experience heavy trials that knock the very wind out of us. There are times when we face battles, trauma, great blows, and attacks that tempts us to give it all up. But the moment that it becomes unbearable, we must come to a place of deep surrender and say:
“In spite of the blows, Father, I will trust you! In spite of the attacks, the pressure, and the circumstances I still surrender to a Holy God. I don’t have all of the answers, but I will surrender and give you a yes. Although I may not understand why all of this is happening, I will still give you a yes.”
There have been times in my personal walk that I have confessed that I didn’t understand why I had been attacked so much in my body –even as a young child. I came to the realization that if God would use me in a great way for miracles and healing, then I would have to understand what it is like to suffer in my body. This is so that I would be one of those who could tarry for others as they have suffered in their bodies for the sake of the cross.
You’ve got to give God a “yes”!
Yes, it may even hurt, but will you follow Him? It doesn’t feel good all of the time, but Jesus learned obedience by the things in which he suffered. This walk is not roses and sunshine all of the time. You will suffer for Christ’s sake, for the anointing, and to carry the fire of God on your life so that others may be set free, saved, healed, and delivered! Be reminded that as you continue to walk out your salvation as the Word says, your “yes” will be a constant and consecutive thing as He takes you from glory to glory. You will be required to say “yes” on different levels!
Say “Yes” On A New Level!
It is my prayer that the Lord gives you what you need in this hour and shows you what you need to make things right with Him. I pray that you won’t be afraid to effectively war for the destiny and calling that He has for you. May He begin to open up your eyes and cause you to see deeper into the spirit realm. He has given you tools and weapons to wage war so that breakthroughs can be brought throughout the land, miracles can be done, and keys and
testimonies can be released. The angels are going forth even now carrying swords in their hands and the fire to wage war against what is fighting against your life! May you receive the strength to stay on post and carry out your individual assignment in the Earth!
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33
He will re-baptize you with fire and restore your passion for Him, for ministry, and to be able to effectively seek Him. He will deal with your heart. The Lord is able to give you a fresh moment to seek after Him and spend more time in His presence. It is time for you to rise up so that you may be used mightily for His Kingdom. Come into agreement with the blueprints of Heaven and the very things are written in Heaven’s book concerning you. Denounce the lies of the enemy and the things that he wishes for you to come into agreement with.
Say yes to the Father’s will!
Say yes to His plan!
Say yes to His purpose!
Say yes to the calling that He placed upon you!
Say yes on a GREATER LEVEL!
