Stability is Your Portion!

Even in the lives of believers, the turbulence of life often comes with many ups and downs. Many have been faced with trials and tribulations that have rattled and shaken the very foundation of their faith. The weight of the attacks sent by the enemy have left many of God’s people in a state of instability, spiritually unbalanced and derailed from their strength. Some seem to have lost their footing, constantly dodging the arrows and daggers thrown out by the enemy. The times that we are in have even left many questioning in their hearts:

… How can we as believers expect to remain stable in such times of distress, confusion, and turmoil?

… How can we remain unshaken and unmoved in the midst of the raging storms?

… How are we to stand firm without wavering in faith nor being swayed by the blows of the enemy?

Today’s encouraging word is simply a reminder that God desires stability in the lives of His people in this season and beyond. Stability IS your portion!

Stability: The quality, state, or degree of being stable such as the strength to stand or endure. Firmness; restoration of equilibrium. The property of a body that causes it to, when disturbed from a condition of equilibrium or steady motion, develop courses or movements that restore to the original condition.

The Promise of Stability

There is such a blessing that comes from the promise of stability in our lives as believers. In spite of the trials, we are able to stand firmly on the foundation of Christ because we have the gift of the hope of glory living on the inside of us! Yes, you have the Spirit of the Living God dwelling on the very inside of you! So even when the attacks arise, it is the hope of glory and the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead that dwells within you and places your feet back on solid ground! We can be encouraged through the Word that when the enemy comes in like rushing and raging streams, God is mighty enough to come in and lift up a standard against it all! (Isaiah 59:19)

Do you need stability in your life? Are there some areas in your life where you need to stand firm?

Has your spiritual instability been the result of an unstable past? Even if there is healing that you need in this area, the Lord is able to bring forth recovery and release you from the traumas and instability of your past. Whether you are in need of stability in your marriage, within your ministry, your calling, among your children, or even in your heart, I speak over your life today. God is able to release the anointing, glory, and His power to bring all things back into alignment just for you!

Stabilize Your Mind

There have been several times in my personal life when I called upon the Lord to stabilize me in some areas and balance things out. I can identify the feeling of being tossed and fro, burdened with the weight and pressures of the world. I would quickly be reminded of the fact that what I have been charged to do for Christ will last, and the natural things that I may find myself battling and contending with are not eternal. Because I know that my battles are not eternal, I have learned to shift my focus more so on the very things of God that hold eternal value. Just with this simple belief, the Lord settles the thoughts within me that become unstable and undermined by the enemy.

Be encouraged today to shift your mind and keep your eyes on the things of the eternal. Avoid focusing on the attacks and heavy blows, abuse and traumas of the past, financial strife, and the many problems of the world. Trust God like never before by focusing on the promise and not the pain. May you look to God, the prophetic words given unto you, and the very throne room of the Lord. In spite of how your current circumstances may seem, continue to stand on the Word. When you begin to think and ponder on the things that are of good report, you will find your stability and strength in the Lord. You will find the courage to stand!

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” – Philippians 4:8

The Word Stabilizes You

Not only is it the Spirit of the Living God that keeps you stable, the Word also provides stability for your life. It is the Word of God that sustains you in spite of what has come your way to leave you unbalanced. As you find yourself in the Word, it is going to be the Word that will release the strength and firmness over your heart and mind!

“I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” – Isaiah 46:4

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” – Psalm 55:22

“He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.” – Isaiah 40:29

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

(Uphold: To keep or maintain in unaltered condition; cause to remain or last)

Stand Firm and FIGHT!

The Lord requires His children to be stable in this hour, firm, and clothed with the whole armor of God. This is no time to quit, cave in to the attacks, or hide when pressures come and storms arise. We must remember the scripture that says, “because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)

The power of Christ dwells on the inside of you! It’s time to STAND UP and STAND FIRM in the spirit realm! Lift up your head! Stand firm against the enemy and his schemes. May your confidence return unto you in this season to fight and remain firm! You have been equipped with spiritual tools that enable you to claim your promise of stability. Get your sword out and fight for your stability and healing! You can’t fight from a wounded place. When you are busy laying on the ground and wallowing in your circumstances, it hinders your ability to fight. God wants you STABLE! Let God be the everlasting rock of your life, and the hope and anchor of your soul. No longer shall you be shaken, moved, and destabilized in this season!

Be Ye Strengthened

The kingdom of Heaven is built upon faith. Continue to put your faith and trust in God and not your problems. In spite of the warfare that comes your way, be encouraged that God desires for you to be stable –unmoved by the cares and pressures of the world. In spite of it all, He has you! In the times you may question where He is, be encouraged that He’s always close! Let the stability that comes from the Lord alone be your source of supernatural strength when you are weak.

Be sound-minded…

Remain firm…

Be unshakable in the Lord!

May you come to know the Lord’s mighty strength, His power that keeps you uplifted, sustains you, and stabilizes you. May you keep a firm grip on your faith and HOLD ON TIGHTLY in this season! May you go forth and boldly declare that stability shall be your portion!

And so shall it be! Amen.
