I believe there are more people than ever before who are longing for the presence and power of God. The reality is, the presence of God, in all of His fullness, isn’t welcome everywhere—even on Sundays. Not many churches or ministries truly welcome and allow the presence of God to flow freely to do what He does best. Many believers seem to have minimized the Lord and placed limits on Him, often denying themselves access to Him as the Father, the precious Comforter and Teacher, and the One who understands us best. It is such a beautiful thing when we allow God to be God, as He manifests in our lives however He sees fit. If you truly want to know God deeply in this season, then it is time to follow Him into His FULL presence—and ALL that He is!
Whether you need a touch from the mighty Father…
A comforting moment with the precious Holy Spirit…
Or a loving embrace from Jesus himself…
Let today’s quick message encourage you to EXPECT the ENCOUNTERS!
Know For Yourself
If you have been following me for some time, then you may have often heard me speak about my personal experiences with feeling the Lord and His presence. As I’m growing in Christ, one of the things that the Lord has allowed me to know is the difference between the presence of the Holy Spirit, ABBA The Father, and Jesus (also known as the Trinity). In many encounters, I am now able to know and identify which aspect of God is amongst me. When the Father comes in with His magnificent power and glory, it is much different than when the Holy Spirit moves upon me. It is even different when the Lord Jesus is present. People may even often ask me, “how do you know?”. Simply put, I had to grow up in some areas in my walk with the Lord that required me to ask questions and remain sensitive enough to learn the movements of the Trinity.
What is the Trinity?
Let’s break it down:
The Trinity is so very important to understand, because it deals with how God exists and how He deals with us.
In the Word, God refers to Himself as “us” or “our”, which describes the Holy Trinity. The word trinity comes from “tri” which means three and “unity” means one. God is a totality of three distinct identities: God the Father, the Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
“Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” – 1 Corinthians 8:6
“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” – 2 Corinthians 13:14
God The Father
Lately, the Lord has been teaching me in this area on how to decipher which part of Him is moving. This is
how I am often able to sense the presence of the Father and the moments in which He simply wants to love on His people. It was around the time when I had written my first book that I heard the voice of the Father—who was very stern with me. I surely noticed that He sounded much different from the Holy Spirit. He urged me to get the book done because it was an end time book. At the same time, He doesn’t always present Himself as serious and stern. As we grow in our relationship with God we may even come to find that He has quite a sense of humor! Yes, the Father laughs—yet He is still to be respected and honored. He even has an expressive side, as He is very creative. The BRILLIANCE of the Lord is TRULY something to behold!
The Holy Spirit
When Jesus went up and ascended into Heaven, he promised to send his Spirit that would comfort us and lead us into all truth. When I first got saved, it was the Holy Spirit who began teaching and taking me on a journey. As with most believers, it is the Holy Spirit that many first come into contact with during salvation. We are often drawn in by Divine invitation of the Holy Spirit—which is according to Biblical scripture. The Holy Spirit is oftentimes the first point of contact for believers as we come into full knowledge and revelation of who God is.
The Son Jesus
The Lord Jesus came into my home recently and it was a very different experience for me! The Lord asked me to raise up an intercessory team within my group coaching program. He began to show me the faces of those who would be a part of the prayer ministry. He spoke to me about the level of release that would happen through these women of God–women whose mouths have been muzzled and voices have been buried by the enemy. What started off to be a brief introduction with those women, ended in intense prayer where the Lord Jesus himself showed up! It was as if he was confirming, “yes, this is my will.”. I sensed him saying that there are so
many souls that need to be saved and revival is needed; he wants to use his daughters to get the Word out! As we took a moment to acknowledge this new assignment that had been bestowed upon us, I felt Jesus come in for a short moment to strengthen us—I knew that it wasn’t the Holy Spirit. And then I heard this scripture:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
It was as if Jesus could remember what it was like to be human with a heavy assignment from God. He allowed me to feel such a beautiful compassion in his heart that day. I could almost hear him saying that he knows what it feels like to be overwhelmed by the calling. He understands what it feels like to carry the weight of the assignment. He was able to relate to the responsibility that we as believers are called to bear. He understands us in the moments that we become tired, because he also had to do the same for the glory and will of the Father. The difference between the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, is that Jesus is just like us. He came in the flesh and he understands the human side of us all. The Father does not relate to this side of us, as we are made of mere flesh and are not perfect and Holy. Yet, Jesus came in the Earth to walk out the will of God, just like we were called to do.
Be encouraged that Jesus Understands You!
Expect the Encounters!
I believe that we are going to experience even MORE encounters in the days to come! We as believers must be in a place where we are expecting encounters from Heaven.
Expect the encounters!
Expect the visitations!
I believe that God is doing something new and fresh and we SO need it. We all need to feel and experience the presence of Jesus, the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and the love of the Father. I encourage you to remain open, because Heaven is moving on your behalf and you need the encounters. The raw, breathtaking presence of the Lord will surely transform you! The presence of the Holy Spirit will change your life! You won’t be able to experience the presence of God without seeing change; this is why the enemy tries his hardest to hinder you from entering in. After just one touch from the Father, you will never be the same! It is written that when you seek Him, you shall find Him. When you begin to run and seek after God, then you will mature in some things and bring forth fruit in your life. May you be mindful of what the Lord is doing in this hour.
Allow Him to touch and transform your heart today!
May you reach the pinnacle of the Lord’s presence and the height of His glory in this season!
May you come to know the Glorious, Almighty Father, His precious Holy Spirit, and Jesus the Victorious Champion!
