In our walk with the Lord, one of the most transforming experiences is truly understanding and embracing who we are in the Lord. When you understand who you are in the Kingdom, you become a force to be reckoned with! As believers, it’s the Father’s will for us to truly know our identity in Him. The Lord is calling His children to know WHO we are WHOSE we are in this season! It’s time out for playing small, hiding in the shadows, and suppressing the level of greatness that the Lord has placed on the inside of you.
You must know WHO you are! Learn to love who God has called you to be! Stop hiding and come forth!
Embracing Your Kingdom Identity
Recognizing your identity in the Lord transforms the way you carry yourself. It’s not about pride or arrogance, but about a confidence in Him. This awareness brings a beautiful peace and security that surrounds you and dwells within you.
When you truly know who you are…
You stand differently!
You will act differently!
You will show up for yourself differently!
You will live differently!
Your identity in the Lord allows you to walk in a unique authority in the spirit realm, radiating with confidence. In this season, God is pulling on His Children to truly embrace their Kingdom identity. Embrace what makes you the person He’s created you to be without apology. Let it shape your posture, your mindset, and your actions. Go forth with the boldness, power, and authority that comes from truly knowing who you are in the Lord.
Learn to Love YOU!
If we were to have an honest conversation, the topic of self-love and embarking the journey of embracing who God has called you to be isn’t talked about enough in the church —but it’s necessary. It’s necessary for even believers to know and understand who we are and cultivate our self-esteem so that we are in a place to even embrace our identities. Many people, due to religious thinking, find it hard to simply accept and embrace the fact that the Father has gifted them and placed such greatness in them. It is from a place of false humility that many of God’s people fail to recognize the force that He has called them to be. We tend to feel as if true humility requires us to suppress our own greatness, shrink ourselves, and dim our own lights so that others may shine. But that couldn’t be any further from the truth. We know that the Word tells us that each and every one of God’s people are unique and play an important role in the body of Christ, and that no one is greater than the other (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). With today’s message, I hope to encourage you and let you know that it is okay to embrace what the Lord has given you. It’s okay to discover and walk boldly in who He has created you to be.
Embrace the grace!
Embrace the greatness!
Embrace your gifts!
Embrace the anointing!
Know who you are!
Simply put, it’s time to learn to love what makes you uniquely, divinely, and beautifully YOU!
Take a moment to reflect on the qualities that make you who you are. Write down the traits that are uniquely yours. Make note of the things that make you different, significant, and powerful in your own way for the Kingdom of the Lord!
Self-Assessment
Here are some steps to help you embrace who you are:
- Recognize Your Strengths: Recognize your strengths as gifts from God, meant to be used for His glory.
- Acknowledge Your Worth: Remember that your worth comes from being a child of God. Embrace the fact that you are valuable just as you are.
- Celebrate Your Differences: The qualities that set you apart are not mistakes but intentional designs by God. Celebrate what makes you different.
- Avoid Comparisons: It’s easy to compare ourselves to others and feel inadequate. But God has a unique plan for each of us. Remember that comparison is the thief of joy.
By embracing who you are, you honor God’s creation and allow His light to shine through you. Celebrate the person God has made you to be, and let your light shine brightly for all to see!
Stop hiding your strengths and downplaying your achievements in the Lord.
Stop feeling the need to dim your light so others can shine. There’s room for YOU!
It’s time to understand who you are and celebrate the unique identity God has given you!
You Are God’s Masterpiece!
Knowing Who You Are in the Lord Has Much To Do With Seeing Yourself as God Sees You!
You must hold tightly to the truth that you are God’s masterpiece, created with great intention and so much love! Ephesians 2:10 tells us, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” This verse alone lets you know that you are not random, but carefully crafted by the Father with a divine purpose! God’s perception of you is far beyond your own understanding. While you often see your flaws and limitations, God sees His perfect creation, full of potential and beauty! Embracing this truth can shift your perspective from self-doubt to confidence rooted in His love and plan for you! Shift your mind and learn to see yourself the way the Father sees you!
You are a child of God! (John 1:12)
You are a new creation! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
You are an heir with Christ! (Romans 8:17)
You are an Ambassador for Christ! (2 Corinthians 5:20)
You are a MASTERPIECE! (Ephesians 2:10)
Know Who You Are!
Know that you are loved unconditionally by your Creator! The very Creator of this universe took the time to carefully create YOU—a much needed vessel in this Earth! It’s time to fully embrace and live out your identity in the Lord. May you see yourself through His eyes, and let His vision for your life guide you into a future filled with hope and purpose.
You are meant to shine and make a difference!
Embrace the beauty of who God made YOU to be!
